We arrived safely in Yendi about an hour ago.  It is now 6:45 pm.  We were driving 2 vehicles so Steve went to town to find something for our supper and I came to the mission house.  I would have started unloading the van but I did not have a gate key and the night watchman was not here yet.  I guess I could have crawled over the cement wall but I thought me with my dress and pantaloons would have been too much for the neighbors!  Ha!

While I was waiting Stephen, one of the church members from Kpamang came; he had a problem.  His bicycle tire and tube were ruined and he needed to get in touch with Divine to see if he could catch a ride back to Kpamang with him.  He did not have his cell phone so he needed me to call Divine to see if he was still in Yendi.  I did not have Divine’s phone number so I called Steve (Taylor) and had him call Divine.  Fortunately he was still in town.

Steve bought a barbecued guinea fowl and a loaf of bread.  We will make a garlic dipping sauce for the bread, added an avocado and freshly sliced tomatoes and have a feast in a short amount of time.   Yum!

We got the vehicles unloaded and part of the things put away.  We want to go to bed early tonight because one of the brothers from Kumasi called and told us that he was sending several feed bags of used clothing for the churches we work with and they are due to arrive at 6:00 in the morning.  Really!  We doubt the bus will arrive on time; maybe it will be African time.

We got all our other business done in Tamale which is a feat in itself.  We even found and bought a new air conditioner for our bedroom.  Boat, the A/C man’s friend could not find a condenser for our unit.  We will not be able to get it installed before next week because there is too much on our schedule.  We also bought 3 cases of Konkomba Bibles.  Steve had given out the last Bibles at the monthly class last week.  Thank you to all of those that give us money for Bibles.

Red, the part time driver, just left.  He spent the day getting my brother Paul’s truck ready to drive down to Accra to pick him up.  He will be coming next week.  He won’t be staying as long as he normally does so he will  not be coming to Yendi.  We will see him in Wa at the seminar.

Steve is outside working on the green truck when they worked on the air conditioner they messed up the grill and it is sort of dangling there.  We will be on rough roads tomorrow and do not want to risk losing it.

We are tired and hungry so I will close for now.  Thank you for the love, prayers and support.

In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
