We ate our breakfast at the hotel and then loaded all of our luggage into the van before going to worship. The plan was to leave for the Kumasi airport as soon as services were over. The traffic to the church building was very heavy; we were a few minutes late even though the hotel is only a couple of miles from the church building.
The congregation at Accra Road where we worshipped again today has a exceptional young man that teaches the adult bible class. His lesson today dealt with using our time properly as a Christian. The lesson was great! The congregation was very hospitable. During the announcements after services I expressed our thanks for their kindness and told the congregation of our plans to take Jack and Dahlia to Accra this afternoon for their return trip home on Monday. We left before all the announcements were finished so we could get to the airport as soon as we could. After Red, our part-time driver, dropped us off, he then headed north. If time allows he will go to Yendi but if darkness falls he will stay in Tamale for the night.
The flight to Accra was uneventful. At the airport we met David, our taxi driver, who took us across town to the apartments (hotel). Once we stowed our luggage in the room we walked down the street a couple of blocks and ate some fast food and pizza.
It wasn’t long after we returned to the room that Jack and I had to change rooms because all three air-conditioning units stopped cooling. I’m sorry but I can’t do well in a hot room in West Africa.
That wraps up another Lord’s Day. We hope you have had a good day as well. Keep us in your prayers as we all travel.
In His service,
Stephen, Kandie, Dahlia, and Jack
