Our plans were to get up at 6am so we could pack our bags and be ready to leave after eating breakfast so I set my U.S. iPhone alarm last night and went to sleep. When the alarm went off this morning I got up and dressed. Guess what?  I forgot the iPhone reset its time due to Daylight Savings so I was up at 5am. Oh well, we had time to walk before breakfast which worked out just find.

Ali, one of the brothers that attends Wa church of Christ met us at the hotel around 8am. Our mission was to visit one of the local congregations that Ali works with that is about 10-12 miles on the way back to Yendi.  We were a few miles down the road from the hotel when I realized I had not turned in our  key to our room. Timothy and Divine hadn’t turned their key in either.

The small congregation we visited meets in a church member’s house that has a large room which works out very nicely. We forgot to write down the name of this village, old age I guess!  The Church consists of mainly women .  Brother Ali asked me to give the church a lesson to encourage them.  I use some of the last verses of Proverbs 31 that discusses the virtuous woman.   This morning  24 adults (3 men), 23 children, and 4 visitors were present for services.  We left juice and bread with the church as a gift.

After bidding the brethren goodbye we left with Ali to go another 5-6 miles to another congregation at the village of Noyiloi where Ali was scheduled to preach today.  Because we needed to get back to Yendi before night fall we didn’t worship with them. The four of us went into the building  and greeted the few people who were present.  I also presented a small monetary gift for the Church.  They were grateful!

The Lord took good care of us so we made it back to Yendi around 5pm. Kandie and I had just enough time to buy a BBQ fowl and take it back to the house before we had to leave for evening services at Kulkpeni.

That wraps up another Lord’s Day. Thanks for your support and may God bless!

In His service,
Stephen and Kandie Taylor
