Gomda the mechanic got the truck up and running.  He was surprised how much water was in the diesel tank when he took it off to clean it.  He said that there was also dirt and debris in the tank.  He asked if we had ever had the tank cleaned.  Well, No!  Who knew you should clean a fuel tank.  I guess it is more important to clean it over here where the gas stations do not have much quality control.  There is no telling how long some of the fuel tanks have been in the ground.

A new orphan came to the Center this morning.  His mother died yesterday from unknown causes in Yendi hospital.  The baby was 2 months old and he was brought to the Center by his uncle and the lady that was going to take care of him.  They were grateful that they were going to receive the formula free because they had no idea where they would get the money to pay for a can of formula every 4 days.

We finally got to start roasting the corn and soybeans today.  We have had so much rain that it was hard to keep the fires going because everything was wet.  Zorash finally resorted to throwing plastic paint bucket lids on the fires.  We will cook again tomorrow.  We did get enough cooked so we can have some ground tomorrow.  The ladies cooked while Steve, Mr. Iddrisu and I worked in the Child Center.

A set of triplets stopped by for a visit this morning; there was nothing wrong with them except for colds.  They have been coming to the Center since they were born.  They are 2 years old and full of themselves.  You could just see the mischief in their eyes.  You know that what one can’t think of the other one can.  They came back in the Center 3 times to get more kuleekulee.  We give the kuleekulee to the children as a treat instead of candy.  It is a crispy peanut buttery treat.  It is the by-product from making peanut oil; A snack high in protein.

Thank you for all you do for the work.  Keep us in your prayers.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
