It rained off and on during the night so it was “bitterly cold” this morning. Anyway that is what the Ghanaians say. Needless to say we enjoyed our walk this morning; the cooler temperatures felt wonderful to us.
I spent the day working on the books. Yuck! We left in such a hurry that I did not have time to even close out the books for March. You can see that I had a lot of catching up to do! I finally enlisted Steve’s help; my brain had gotten so foggy that it was difficult to use the calculator. I struggle with it when my brain is fresh. We figured out that I had made a 150 Cedi( equal to $26) error every month since January; my next job is to go back and make the correction for each month. At least I write everything in pencil!
Steve had to replace the lock on the front door this morning. When we gave Mr. Iddrisu the old door locks and keys I accidently gave him 2 keys for the new lock. Mr. Iddrisu could not find the keys so we had no choice but to change the lock again; we couldn’t risk having the keys floating around.
Nazo came to the mission house today to get some money so he could go back to the disease control officer and get tested for TB. Nazo has had a cough for a long time; the disease control officer wants to rule out TB. The hospital in Tamale will call him when the results from his Covid test come back. We told him to go home and rest after he finished his TB test. We don’t really want to be around him when he is feeling so poorly. We don’t want to catch whatever he has.
My Aunt Betty Jean is doing some better; she is not out of the woods yet so please keep praying for her. I am not sure how many of the people where she lives have the Covid virus; it is a terrible illness.
It has started thundering; it looks like we are going to get more rain. Normally we get the most rain in September; I guess this year we will get the bulk of the rain in October. Most of the people have harvested their crops and are trying to get them to dry out enough to store.
Hope you have a great day!
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
