Back to Tamale for us today; aren’t we the lucky ones?  We were pleased with our trip today!  We checked off everything on our list even though some things were not checked off to our total satisfaction!  We got the new Social Welfare certificate for the Child Center.  They did not have the name of the certificate exactly right but we can live with it.  They wrote, “Good News Development Center” instead of “Good News Child Development Center”.  As soon as we got back to Yendi Steve emailed a copy of the certificate to Standard Chartered Bank.  It was one of the documents they needed to keep the checking account active.

We stopped to check on the land papers for the mission property.  They said they were in the final stage of completion; they are just waiting on us to get it registered through the Registrar’s office.  We cannot finish that before we leave.  We will work on that when we get back next year.  Doesn’t that sound strange, “Next Year”?  It is almost scary that 2020 is almost over.

We stopped by the auditor’s office twice; we were happy that the second time we stopped he was in the office.  We paid him for the work he will do after the first of the year.  We did not want to leave the audit until the next time we come in because the closer it gets to the deadline of April 30th the busier the office gets.   We want to be the first ones on the docket!

Of course I had to fight with him about the cost of doing the audit.  There are no set fees for these services which is annoying and most of the time receipts are only given for certain portions which means there is wiggle room on the cost.  I intend to save as much as I can.  Steve never participates in the negations; he just sits back and enjoys the show!  We will have Red drop the receipts by the office next Friday after he takes us to the airport in Tamale.

We had to stop by the lawyer’s office and drop off the receipt for the withholding tax we paid on his retainer fee.  He will need the receipt when he files his taxes.

Before we left Yendi this morning Steve mixed up 6 gallons of water proof paint for Nazo to use while we were in Tamale.  I think he used all the paint today.  He is the messiest painter but he can get lots of painting done.  He is definitely an outside painter!

Oh!  We found out what was going on last night with the motorcycle lying in the road.  Mr. Oldman investigated for us.  He said that it was a swarm of bees.  The bees were either swarming out of a hollow metal street light pole or they were going into the pole.  The people were afraid and abandoned their motorcycles, bicycles and motorking.  Little do they know that when the bees are swarming they are pretty docile.  The bees are not interested in stinging any one; they are full of honey and only interested in getting to their new home.  Thankfully it was not a demonstration!

Have a great day!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
