We had a nice walk this morning. Last night we were up till midnight trying to get things prepared for our departure from Yendi today. The exercise this morning helped to jump start us for today’s activities.
Most of our “To do list” was accomplished by the time came for the child center to open so Kandie and I were able to help out for the whole morning. There was a sad case brought to us this morning. A mother and father brought their nine month old son for us to see. The little guy is cute but it is plain to see he has some challenges both physically and mentally. I tried to encourage the parents as much as possible. They will have an uphill battle but love can and does make a difference.
Shortly before 1:30 this afternoon we got a call from our grandchildren wanting to know if we had left Yendi yet. It is nice to have your own cheering section , don’t you think? We look forward to seeing the grandchildren at the airport in Huntsville.
At 2pm we were on the road picking up Red our part time driver heading for Tamale. After arriving in Tamale we let Red go to visit family and friends and we went to the auditor’s office for a few minutes. From there we went to a coping kiosk where you can purchase books and have copies made. There were two booklets I needed to have copied to bring back with us so we had to go and come sometime later to pick them up.
We will spend the night at a hotel in Tamale and then have Red drop us off at the airport in the morning so we can catch our Accra flight. There will be a day and a half spent in Accra before our flight to Amsterdam takes off at 10pm Thursday night.
Please keep us in your prayers along with the brethren that we leave behind in the Yendi area.
In His service,
Stephen and Kandie Taylor
