I missed market day!  It was yesterday; we were so busy that it did not even dawn on us that it was Yendi’s big market day.  I seriously thought that market day was today until we were at Bible study last night and we saw all the market trucks leaving Yendi loaded with people and goods.  We can go to the market any day but there is a larger selection of stuff on the big market days because vendors from other villages come to Yendi to sell.

This afternoon we had to go to town to mail a package so we went to the market.  I needed onions and okra.  I wasn’t disappointed when we entered the market and the paths between the stalls were not crowded.  It makes for a more pleasant shopping trip when the market is not so full of people but where is the fun in that?

Steve spent most of the day working on the monthly report.  This morning after our walk we decided to pump the rain water we caught from the last rain up into the poly tank so we can use it in the house.  The pump had sat so long that it has lost its prime.  Please!  We worked for almost an hour before we got it primed.  There was enough water to fill the upper tank and almost all of the lower tank.  There are only a few inches of water left in the reservoir.

This afternoon I started unpacking the tubs that contained the copy paper, file folders, tracts and Bible material.  Before they took off the roof we packed everything that we did not want to get wet in plastic tubs which is part of the reason we don’t know where anything is.  I got about half of it sorted and put away before we went to town.

Mr. Iddrisu used oil paint and painted more bookcases today.  We don’t usually let Nazo use oil paint or paint inside the house.  He is just too messy!  He gets paint everywhere including all over himself.  He loves to rake leaves and the mango trees are sort of like magnolias in the fact that they are never bare; they are constantly losing leaves and growing new ones.

There was a lot of discussion during Bible class last night.  Everyone wanted to know about Easter and why the denominations celebrate it as a religious holiday.  Steve got the information on Lent, incense, Ash Wednesday, the feasting and fasting.  The class ran overtime but no one cared.

Please keep the work in your prayers.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
