We are sitting in the hotel in Accra. We flew down this morning. We are going to spend an extra day in Accra so I can “Shop”! Anyone that knows me knows that I love to shop. I don’t like to shop for clothes, jewelry or shoes; I like to shop for stuff! When the venders at the cultural center ask what I am looking for I tell them, “I will know when I see it”! Usually the things I buy are not very costly. Steve walks around with me and when they ask him what he is looking for he tells them that he leaves the shopping to me and he is just my helper.

We had a good flight down. It is amazing that we can fly to Accra in a little under an hour but it takes between 13 and 15 hours to drive depending upon the traffic. Red drove us to Tamale yesterday and spent the night at his sister’s house. He drove us to the airport this morning. Red called this afternoon to let us know that he had made it safely back to Yendi and to check to make sure that we had arrived in Accra safely.

The workers at the hotel were happy to see us. We have been staying her for years; they think we are family. I spent the afternoon working on the computer. I have several reports that need to be written before we forget what happened. I only got about half of them finished. Perhaps I will have more time to work on them tomorrow. I finally had Steve read the hand-written copies to me as I typed.

Not much to tell so I will close for now and get back to my typing.

In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
