It rained yesterday so that cut our shopping a little bit short. Steve hates to be wet but I enjoyed myself because the temperatures were cooler and the vendors were ready to sell. They knew that when it rains not many people go shopping. Anyway normal people stay home. What does that say about me?
Food at the hotels can sometimes be iffy because of the language barrier. This morning Steve order porridge (oats) and I ordered fried eggs. Steve ended up with boiled eggs and I got an omelet. Imagine that! Even I could not figure out how your got boiled eggs out of porridge. But at least we got something to eat.
This morning we went to the “Wild Gecko” ; an upscale craft shop. We like to go there just to look around. Today we did not find much to buy. Then we walked over to the Nurses and Midwives Council so Steve could greet the folks that work there. They are the people that he gets his Ghana nurses license through and he likes to keep in touch with them just in case he ever needs their assistance.
It is about time for us to go to the airport. The taxi driver will be here in a few minutes so we will close for now.
Please keep us in your prayers as we travel. We will be back in Alabama at 4:30 on Friday evening.
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
