We were back up at the tax office shortly after they opened.   We could not meet with anyone because they were having an office meeting.  An hour or so later we went back and they were still in the meeting.  The third time was a charm.  We had all of our documents ready to present for filing but they could not make us a copy of them.  I don’t know if they don’t have a copy machine or they just did not want to make that many copies but whatever the reason we had to take the copies back to the mission house and make our own copies after they had been signed, stamped and dated.  Oh! Let me tell you, these people love a rubber stamp!  I guess they think that it makes things look more official!  We also had to go to the bank to make the payment because the tax office is no longer allowed to accept money.  While Steve was in the bank I came back to the mission house and made the copies.  By this time it was almost noon.  The tax office was busy so we had to wait for about an hour to turn in the documents but we are finished!  At least we are finished until next month!

We did not get as many mangoes today as we did yesterday.  We had a night watchman last night and this morning when I got up at 5:30the ground was littered with mangoes and Tichak the watchman was busy picking them up.  I asked him if he needed a bag to put them in but he had brought a tow sack from home.  He picked up as many mangoes as he could carry on his bicycle.   Last time I looked he had about ½ a tow sack full.  Red and his helper came and started hanging the razor wire so they picked up the mangos in the back field.  We only picked up 258 mangos today.  We divided them up and gave some to a couple of our neighbors and then took some to town to give to some of the vendors that we buy from.  Everyone was happy with the mangoes.

Red is doing a good job hanging the razor wire; he thinks he can get it done in just a few days but I bet it takes him at least a week.  Steve and I hung all the razor wire on the back part of the property ourselves and it took us a couple weeks.  At that time the wall was low and we did not have to have a ladder to reach the “T” post.  We contracted with Red so we don’t care if it takes him a while to hang it.

Hope you are having a good day!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
