Before we went to the meeting location for our 7AMsafari, we stopped by the restaurant to order our breakfast so that it would be ready once we returned from safari. This saves us time and allows one to get on the road to Yendi quicker.
We ended up getting one of the tour vehicles to ourselves which was nice. We headed into “the bush” and hurried to where there was an elephant sighting. When we got to the location, we disembarked from the truck and hiked in about a half mile to where the elephant was. We got within 50ft of him and watched him pull down trees to strip them of their leaves so he could eat. Words cannot describe the awe of watching such a magnificent creature in the wild. We observed him for quite a while until he decided to mosey off (or sashay??).
We got back into the truck and continued our tour. We saw more antelope, birds and beautiful scenery.
When we got back to the lodge we ate our breakfast, loaded up the van and headed toward Yendi. As we passed through Tamale, we stopped at a couple of shops so Gina could look at some fabrics. She found a few and bought them to bring home.
After we got through Tamale, I took over the driving so Steve could take a break. I drove yesterday between Tamale and Mole and around Yendi also. We made it back to Yendi so I guess I did ok.
We have a busy day planned for tomorrow to get things ready for the Seminar next week.
Thanks to all for your prayers.
