We are back in Ghana.  We arrived this morning around 7:40 (Ghana time).  We had an uneventful flight which is always a “good thing”.  All of our luggage arrived with us and we did not have any problems going through customs; which is also a “good thing”.

When we arrived in Accra Steve called Bizmark, the driver, that has a van to let him know that our plane had landed.  Steve woke him up because he is not in Ghana; he is in Canada visiting his family.  Steve contacted him last week by text to let him know we were coming but he did not tell us that he would not be the one picking us up at the airport.  Bizmark had arranged for another driver to pick us up.  The airport is swarming with taxi drivers and other parasites that are trying to make a little money by handling the passenger’s bags.  They are all very annoying!  I guess passing through the Ghanaian airports is the worst part of the whole trip.

Naturally we are “jet lagged” it will take about a week for us to get over it.

Steve talked to Timothy Niligrini this morning to let him know that we had arrived in Ghana and that Lord willing we would be in Yendi on Sunday.  Timothy is a good egg; he has made arrangements for us to visit the church at Nakpache on Sunday.

We made plans to stay in Accra an extra day because we have some business to do.  We went to the Minister of Interior this morning to see if they had completed our Quota application.  We were pleased that it was ready and waiting for us.  The Quota is attached to the Child Center; it is one of the documents that we have to have to get a Resident Visa.  The Resident Visa allows us to stay in Ghana full time.  The Visa was renewed for 3 years.  In September we will present the Quota to the Visa board and Lord willing they will stamp our passports for an additional 3 years.

Thank you for all the prayers!  Please keep sending them our way!

In HIS Service,

Steve and Kandie
