Steve spent the early part of the morning cleaning up the tool room. We have been working on lots of projects but we never seem to get around to putting things back where they go. He even got the floor vacuumed; it looks so much better. While he was working I was entering our stateside receipts. Since we are self-employed we have to file a long form. I wanted to get a head start entering those receipts.
Later in the morning we went to town. We took one of the church leader’s bicycles to the mechanic and had it over hauled. It is amazing what they can do with these bicycles. Steve had them put on new tires and tubes, a new seat, generator and light, basket, peddles and a new main sprocket. The bike is good as new again.
We also took the battery charger to Mr. Adams. Steve heard something sizzling the last time he tried to use it so he was afraid that it had blown a fuse or worse. Mr. Adams could not find anything wrong with it which makes us very happy!
We found some rechargeable flashlights for the watchmen. Tichak really wants a rechargeable one. Don’t know how long it will last but maybe he will be able to enjoy it for a little while. These charge with both electricity and solar. I can’t imagine they would be very bright.
Nazo came to work today but he ran out of steam after he had worked a few hours. Steve sent him home early. He said that the site where he got the injection yesterday was hurting him so we gave him Ibuprofen before he went home.
This afternoon Steve got the rest of the bushes and shrubs trimmed up. We like to do them before the dry season really sets in. It tried to rain this afternoon but we only got a sprinkle. We have not gotten any rain since early Sunday morning. We are hopeful that the mud hole leading to Binalado will have dried up enough for us to get through tomorrow. We are going to try again to visit them.
Steve is fixing supper; it is almost ready so I will close for now. Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
