We have partial walls on one of the toilets at Kulkpeni!  John also figured out why we had him make one of the toilet rooms larger than the others and why we did not want the toilet hole to be in the middle of the room.  We needed room inside the small room to accommodate a wheelchair.  We also made an extra-large door for that room.  John said today that he was surprised that the room was big enough for a wheelchair to turn around in!  We did not know that he did not know why he was making the room so much larger than the other rooms but at least he did what we asked him to do!  That is a refreshing change!  All the neighbors love the toilets; Steve told John that the toilets might generate some business for him.  He said, “No one will want to build this type of toilet even though they like it; they will not want to spend the money to make one like this!  This one takes too many iron rods (rebar) and cement!”  It is true but we also will not have to replace the toilets for years and years!

Timothy, the electrician, who lives in Kulkpeni was busy this afternoon chasing the children out of the church’s compound; they jumped /climbed over the wall just so they could come inside.  They had no business inside, they just wanted to come in.  He had a long stick and he chased them back over the wall; they jumped back over to get out just like they did to come in.  When we started the wall, they said it would keep the children out but we knew from experience nothing will keep them out!  Many of the children’s parents don’t have toilets at their houses and they will tell the children to climb over to come and poop inside because they don’t want the children to poop in their own yards!

They did not believe us!

We spent almost the whole day counting money; it reminded me of that nursery rhyme; “The king is in his counting house counting out his money…” not sure how the rest of the rhyme goes but that is what we spent the day doing and we are still not finished!  All our amounts changed when we started working on January 2026.  We had to stop and redo the budget for the new year to include the raises.  Then when the employees get a raise the taxes, IRS, and Social Security have to all be refigured.  It will take another couple of days to get it all completed!  But we are making headway!

Thank you for all you do for us. We really appreciate the help.

I love to tear up paper; it is so satisfying to see the little bits of paper float through the air and land on the ground!  Mom knows how much I love to tear paper so she feeds my obsession!  Today ,she put treats inside the used envelopes and gave them to me to open!  It was great fun!  I could feel the surprise inside but I had to figure out how to get the envelope open before I got the treat.  Today, she hid roasted peanuts, Pringles, and Cheerios in the envelopes!  I hope that we can play that game again tomorrow.

Yesterday Mom was counting money on the bed; she was at the head of the bed and I was at the foot of the bed; she got up to run to the bathroom and I knew that was my opportunity to get to the money!  I have figured out that I can pull the quilt that is on the bed and drag whatever she is working on down to the middle of the bed where I can reach it!  I had a hay day when I got hold of 200 pieces of money!  Dad caught me and I was in trouble because I had torn and chewed apart several bills!  Oops!  Dad called for Mom!   Dad was scurrying around trying to find all the parts of the bills I tore up so that Mom could tape them back together!  In the end I mostly just made a big mess; I only tore up 4 bills and Mom taped them back together; they are in such rough shape that none of the vendors will accept them but they can be redeemed at the bank!

You know I am a trained bank teller!  I know how to count money!
