Zorash did not come to work today; she was still feeling poorly. She said that she started taking antibiotics so we are hoping that she will get to feeling better quickly.
Not many babies came to the Center this morning. Wednesdays are our least busy day. During the lull Dahlia and I worked on the books and entering the receipts while Jack bagged communion cups. We bought 6000 cups and almost every one of the plastic sleeves they were packaged in had broken open during the flight. The churches here reuse the cups; a couple years ago we happened upon flexible communion cups. We love them because they are almost unbreakable. It is a good thing that we bought the flexible cups this time because many of them would have gotten broken on the trip.
Steve and I spent the afternoon finishing the paper work for the annual audit of the Child Center. We plan to get to Tamale in time to drop it off at the auditor’s office before we head out to Mole. Mole is the game reserve or preserve or whatever it is called. We love to go there to see the wild life.
Divine stopped by for a visit and he was happy to let us know that the government has decided to help the school at Kpamang with a school feeding program. They were impressed with the kitchen.
Jack taught a very good lesson tonight at Kulkpeni. He spoke on Jonah and how we as Christians should be running toward God instead of away from him.
Since Steve and I worked on the books until it was time to go to Bible study I did not cook anything for supper. I handed everyone an apple as we headed out the door. After Bible study we stopped at a street vendor that was selling Indomie which is very much like Ramen noodles; only they are served dry instead of wet with the addition of onions, cabbage and tiny bits of meat. They are traditionally served with fried eggs but they cook the eggs early in the day and we are a little suspicious of eating the eggs so I fried eggs when we got back to the mission house.
It is past 12:00 so we are going to call it a day! Please keep us in your prayers as we travel tomorrow. Steve is doing the driving; we decided to give Red a break.
In His Service,
Steve, Kandie, Dahlia and Jack
