Our oldest grandson Taylor fainted at school today; he landed on his face and busted his nose and lip. Right now he is at the doctor’s office. It is times like these that make it difficult for us to be so far away from home. Please pray that nothing serious is wrong with him!

Steve and Iddrisu got the office and guest bedroom painted in the main part of the house today. This evening Steve and I got the small room that we use for tools painted.

Abochi stopped by this morning to let us know that he was going to Tamale and would not be working on the ceilings today but he said that he would send 6 guys to do the work in his absence. He assured us they would finish the whole job today. Well, no one showed up until 9:45 and then it was just one guy. He got tired of waiting and decided that maybe the other guys were not coming to work because it was a holiday so he left. Today is actually a holiday; it is Easter Monday and the schools and banks are closed. A little while later he came back with another worker. By noon we had 4 workers. Needless to say they did not finish today but they did finish the ceiling in living/dining room of the main house. At 3:30 the men told us that they were hungry because they were trying to finish so they did not take their break even though we had given them money for their lunch. We gave them some apples so they would not starve. They are just like children!

Rasheed, the son of the man who had to have his legs removed because of diabetes came for a visit this afternoon. He wanted to introduce us to his father. He brought 2 of his brothers with him. His father is in his 80’s but very spry! We had a nice visit; he wanted to thank us in advance for helping him with the money he will need to get artificial legs. Shortly after they left Rasheed called. He said his father wanted him to call so we would know that they got back home safely. How sweet!

Only 4 mothers came to the Child Center this morning because it is a holiday. We will probably be swamped tomorrow. Since no one was at the Center Zorash and I went to the market in search of baskets. I needed the baskets to organize stuff when we start moving things back into the main house.

Take care and have a great day.

In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
