“Our bags are packed and we are ready to go!” Actually our bags are packed and we are sitting in the hotel /apartment waiting on the van to get here and load our luggage to take us to the airport. It is nice to be able to by-pass that 15 hour road trip from Yendi to Accra and fly down but it is very inconvenient not having a private car to ride around in. We walked and walked this afternoon hunting for someone that was selling cell phones. We had to stop and asked several people before we finally found a small shop that was selling the phones. The funny thing is they did not sell the phone chips. We wanted Marcus to have his own phone when he comes back with us because you never know when we might get separated; have car trouble or just need to know where he is. It will be my personal “honing in device”! Ha!
This morning we went to one of the high end craft shops; we did not buy anything but it is always fun to look around and see what is for sell. We stopped at the Chinese restaurant for lunch. The people at the next table were talking about mining for gold.
Not much else to tell; we will try to remember to let you know when we get home. Keep praying for us and Buz’s family.
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
