Red finally made it to Tamale.  He took Paul’s truck to the mechanic but they said that it was too hot to work on it.  They are going to start working on it first thing in morning.  Red was exhausted but happy to be in Tamale where he can speak the language and knows the mechanics.  Red is a pretty good mechanic himself so I am sure that he will be watching and helping every step of the way.

Wednesdays are our slowest day at the Child Center so between seeing babies Zorash and Mr. Iddrisu filled out the Tax ID forms that the government is now requiring for each employee.  Several of the employees are illiterate so someone has to fill in the information for them.  We got all but 1 ½ of the forms filled out.  We are going to have to go out to Emmanuel’s village tomorrow and see if we can find someone to help us with his information.  Emmanuel was one of the evangelist but he has dementia and will not be much help but his brothers live in the village with him and we are hoping that they will be able give us the information we need.  We keep Emmanuel on payroll just because he has been with us for almost 20 years.  Emmanuel and his family would really suffer if we stopped his pay.

The headlights on the green truck went out again so we took it back to the electrician.  He said the problem was overloaded circuits.  He thinks he has the problem fixed.  We drove it out to Kulkpeni for evening Bible study and it seemed to do fine.  We will see how long it lasts.

It is time to change the oil in the old van but when we went out to take it to town it had a flat tire.  Steve could not put on the spare because it was also flat.  He took off both tires and took them to the “vulcanizer” and had them fixed.  One of them needed a new inner tube.  The other one had a puncture.

Amama did not come to work this morning and she will not be here tomorrow; someone on her husband’s side of the family died.  We saw her today when she brought us a copy of her voter’s ID so we could fill out the tax forms for her.

Thank you for everything that you do for us and for the work.  Keep us in your prayers.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
