Divine and Stephen, the church leaders from Kpamang just left.  They had attended the monthly class and stopped by the mission house on their way home.  They scoured the mango trees and found a couple grocery bags full.  They were so happy!

Steve and Timothy decided that it would be a good idea to periodically have some mini seminars at various areas to encourage the churches.  They presented the idea at the class this month and the brothers thought it was a fine idea.  They have already set up seminars for the next 3 months.  This will be a boost to the whole congregation and it will give them an opportunity to invite people from the village.

The air conditioner in the spare bedroom where we are sleeping until we decide what to do about an air conditioner for the master bedroom froze up last night so we slept hot.  Boat, the air conditioner repair man came out this afternoon and recharged it.  It is cooling, we hope it lasts.  Boat said a collogue of his has a condenser that should fit our unit.  He is not going to pay for it until he gets a chance to check it out to see if it is a good one.  He got the small refrigerator fixed; anyway he said that it was fixed.  We will just keep cokes and water in it for a little while to make sure.

Nazo started weaving the thatch today.  He finished 4 bundles.  He has a long way to go; we will need at least 60 bundles.  Mr. Iddrisu is going to help him weave tomorrow so it will go a little bit faster.  I am not sure how long Mr. Iddrisu’s back can take that bending over.

Amama came to make up her day off.  We cleaned the tool / storage room.  I was happy that she was here because her “Rival” came for a visit and to thank us for the baby clothes.  Her Rival is the third wife.  Now imagine; this woman just had the baby 1 week ago and today she walked out to the mission house carrying her baby just to tell us thank you for the baby clothes!  I tell you these are some of the strongest people we have ever seen.

Divine told us that they are going to start a school feeding program at the school in Kpamang that meets in the church building.  Divine donated a 100 lbs of rice, Steven donated 25 pounds of rice and several of the other villagers have donated pepper, gourd seeds and other things.  We donated money for oil and ingredients.  Divine hopes to enlist the aid of the school board in providing additional food stuffs for the children.  There is a better chance that they will help if they see that the village is interested in the children.

Thank you for all your love, prayers, and financial support so we can help when needs arise.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
