This morning we were asked to preach at Kulkpeni for the morning worship service. This meant Kandie and I didn’t have to hurry around to leave because Kulkpeni is only 5 miles from the mission house and their services start later.  We drove two vehicles into town because the auto electrician couldn’t get the old van wiring corrected yesterday afternoon so he asked us to bring it back today.

When we arrived at the church building we were met by the cutest reddish-brown puppy; probably about 9 weeks old.  I thought it was one of Timothy Niligrini’s puppies but he said all his puppies were males and this one was a female. Timothy taught the bible class and several times the pup let out a howl which prompted Bro. Matthew Unidon to pick up the dog and put her outside before closing the door. We would like to have a dog here in the compound but the Moslem workers don’t treat dogs kindly.  When we are away on leave we fear the dog wouldn’t be cared for properly.

After services we gave some cash to two people from the congregation. Both had deaths in the family so it is in order to give sympathy money. We also found out that Timothy’s wife Rita is expecting their fourth child.

As we were passing through Yendi on the way back to the compound we stopped and purchased some more plastic bowls to give Brother Divine for the school  feeding program at Kpamang.

This afternoon two visitors came to the compound. One man is handicapped that uses an arm crutch. I had purchased a new arm crutch in Tamale last year so I gave it to our handicapped friend. The other man needed a pair of reading glasses. Thanks to your generosity we are able to keep a supply of reading glasses on hand. Both men were happy with their gifts.

Late this afternoon we went back to the electrician and collected the old van.  We were in luck. They were able to get everything fixed right.

Well, that sums it up for today. Hope you have a good Lord’s Day and may God bless!

In His service,

Stephen and Kandie Taylor
