The compound was full of people today.  Not only were mothers flowing in and out of the Child Center but Osman, the Balogu chief’s secretary came with the corrected land papers for us to sign.  The surveyors also came.  They were not able to do all the work today because one of their machines was not working well.  They sent a message to Tamale to send another one.  It is supposed to be here early tomorrow morning.  Steve spent the morning with the surveyors walking the fence lines, cutting tall grass with a machete and hauling cement blocks to every corner of all 3 sections of land.  While he was working he stepped on a large rock that rolled with him; now he has a huge bruise on his thigh.  Of course it looks worse because he is still taking blood thinners.

We needed to get the motor king running; tri-motor bike with a truck bed type carrier on the back.  We called Solomon the motorcycle mechanic to come to the mission house and work on it.  It is always difficult to start after it has set for several months.  It took Solomon about 5 hours to get it running.  Steve made several trips to town to get parts and a battery.

Boat, the air condition repair man came back this afternoon with the repair unit.  He said that he had to put a new fan in it.  He did not put in a new fan but a used fan.  I would have been happier if he had used a new fan but it would have had to have been ordered and that would have taken longer.  It is cooling at the moment; actually it is cooling better than it has in a while.

The city water works men came and dug up the place where the water was leaking.  It is actually leaking around the 4 inch valve.  Not sure what they are going to do about the leak.  We have an extra valve they could buy back from us if they want to replace the valve.  When we laid the water line years ago they had us buy a valve they did not use.  We tried to sell it back to them at the time but they did not want it.

We were so busy that we missed lunch today.  We will have enough time to grab a bite of supper before evening Bible study.  Take care and thanks for everything.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
