We are sitting at the hotel in Tamale.  We thought that we were just going to make a quick trip to pick up the audit, check with the phone company and change dollars into Cedis but we actually did not get much of anything accomplished this afternoon and we were told to come back in the morning.  We did not leave for Tamale until around 12:00 because we were waiting on a call from the auditor’s office to let us know that everything was completed and ready for us to pick up.

When we stopped to get ink cartridges they had no receipts so we are to stop by in the morning to get the receipt.  The audit was almost done but not quite and they filled out the wrong IRS form.  The lawyer was not around so we could not pick up the receipt and the contract and they could not help us at the phone company because the lady who helped us last time had gone on vacation and we did not change the money because we did not want to have to carry that big bulk of money around with us.

We stopped by the IRS office here in Tamale to see if we could get a receipt book for vendors to fill out so we could pay our tax as we purchased things.  They were very nice but we could not get a receipt book unless we are business that sold things; we never sell anything; we give everything away!  We are to go back to the IRS office in the morning to pick up the list of exempt and non-exempt items.  We don’t want to pay more tax than we have to.

We brought Mr. Iddrisu with us this morning because his new driver’s license had finally come in.  He has been waiting on it since November.  We dropped him off at the motor vehicle office and he took a bus back to Yendi.

Divine had to spend the night in Tamale last night because the documents he came to pick up were not ready.  He called to tell us that he was outside the gate of the mission house waiting for us to open the gate; he had left his motorcycle parked at the mission house when he went to Tamale.  He was surprised that we were in Tamale.  Steve called Mr. Iddrisu and he went to the house and let Divine in.

Divine ran out of money so Steve sent him some through the cell phone.  It is still amazing to me that we can send money so quickly!

We had a lovely Indian meal at the hotel restaurant so we are stuffed and ready for a good night’s sleep!  Take care!

In His Service,
