We thought about spending another night in Tamale because by the end of the work day the audit still had not been signed by the Registrar General. There were no guarantees that it would be signed early enough in the day tomorrow for Steve to get back to teach the monthly evangelist class so we decided to return to Yendi. We are going to go back on Saturday to see if it has been signed. We don’t really care when it is signed but we need a copy of it to turn in with the IRS forms.
While we were in Tamale we bought a used copy machine so we don’t have to sit for hours in the little open air shop waiting to get copies made. We wanted to buy a couple of extra toner cartridges for it but we were only able to get one but we got a promise from two shops that they would order more. We are excited about the copier. This one will automatically copy double sided pages without us having to flip the pages over. I always lose the first couple of pages trying to figure out which way to orient the paper.
After going to the IRS office 4 times we finally got a copy of the tax exempt items. Now we know exactly what we have to pay sales tax on and what we do not. Most of the stuff we buy does not carry a sales tax.
We got back to Yendi around 5:00. As we were driving into Yendi we stopped and Steve greeted the evangelist and apologized for not being at the classes today. Steve is sure that Timothy did a fine job with the classes in his absence. We went to the market and bought the 50 pound bags we will use when we divide the used clothing for the churches.
It is almost time to go to bed so I will close for now. Have a great day!
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
