The men loved the suit coats! Steve placed them in 4 places around the room. This way everyone was not digging through the same bunch of coats. I still can’t imagine wearing a suit coat in these hot temperatures. Thirty-three men came to the class this month.
Before Steve went out to teach class he helped me work in the apartment. We were trying to get one of the bedrooms ready for Sampson’s arrival. Please what a mess! We put the bed back together, moved the refrigerators in from Mr. Iddrisu’s office, swept the floors, put on clean sheets, cleaned the kitchen, set up a little breakfast station, hung curtains and then moved the chair and table back into the room. We could not do anything about the rest of the apartment. There is so much stuff piled around; there is only a trail through the dining/living room.
Red brought the metal door and windows that he made for the church building at Kulkpeni this afternoon. We will have Nazo and Mr. Iddrisu paints them before the mason put them in the building. While Red was here I showed him a place that was leaking on the radiator cap of the truck. He went to town and bought the part to fix it, he got it fixed before he left. I was happy he came for a visit today.
Sampson arrived around 4:00. He does not have his own car so he came on public transport. He brought several bags of used clothing to give to some of the churches. It has been 11 years since he has been to Yendi so he could see a lot of changes. The mission house used to be in the middle of nowhere 2 miles from town. Now there are houses all around us.
We would like you to pray for Steve’s oldest brother Jim. He is in the hospital; he had to have 3 stints put in his heart today. They flew him by helicopter to a larger hospital for the surgery. He will be in the hospital for a few days.
Thank you for the love, prayers and support. We appreciate all you do for us and for the work.
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
