I spent most of the day holed up in our room working on the audit while Steve alternated between working on his lesson and helping me when I got stuck!  We are happy to report that we finished the audit and all that is left to do is print it and take it to the accountant.  We are planning on going to Tamale tomorrow to run some errands and get the insurance renewed on the vehicles.  While we are there we are going to try and get the air conditioning fixed on the van so we can take it next week to Wa.  If we can’t get it fixed we can take the new “red” pickup but we will be cramped because Timothy and Divine are going with us.

Before the Child Center opened this morning we went to the market to look for kulikuli, the byproduct of making peanut oil.  We went to the market but found none then we remembered that Asana, the crippled girl’s mother that we gave a handicapped tricycle to last year makes and sells kulikuli.  We got close to their house but had to stop and ask for directions because we did not recognize the house because they had put up a fence made of old tin roofing sheets.  We were happy that she had some and we placed an order for more; we are supposed to pick up the next batch tomorrow morning.  This should last for several weeks.  Another lady was making it and bringing it to the Child Center every week but she had a baby and has not been able to bring it to us.

We took a break this afternoon and went to town on a lead from Boat, the air conditioner repair man.  He found someone that could order an air conditioner for us but it was not what we were looking for.  We will look around in Tamale tomorrow and see what is available over there.

Mr. Iddrisu’s sister had to have 2 units of blood and they moved her to another facility that has some sort of machine that they want to use on her to see if they can determine what is causing her to lose blood.  They said that they did not believe that it was Malaria.  She has let her health insurance lapse so her hospitalization is going to cost the family a lot.  We gave Mr. Iddrisu some extra money to help with the medicine.

Please keep us in your prayers as we travel to tomorrow.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
