Barry Smith’s flight was on time this morning. We met him in Tamale and drove him to Yendi. He said that he had a good flight up from Accra but his flight into Accra was delayed so he did not get much sleep last night.

We got back to Yendi around 10:00 which gave us time to make soy bean (tofu) kabobs for lunch. As usual they were delicious. We wanted Jack and Dahlia to see the process. It is a long drawn out process but they can be made with the firm tofu that can be bought in the states.

This afternoon Barry and Steve went to Kulkpeni for the first day of the monthly classes. Steve said they had a good class; Barry taught a lesson from Romans 12:1-2 about being a living sacrifice.

After our late lunch Dahlia, Jack, Zorash and I went to town to check on the dresses that Dahlia was having made. They were not ready for pick up but one of them was ready for her to try on; it is a good thing that she tried it on because they had put a short zipper in the dress and it was very difficult for her to get it on. They lengthened the zipper and now it fits fine. They told us to come back at 5:30 for the other dress. Before we picked up the second dress we called Timothy to see if Jack’s shirt and pants were ready; they were not because Timothy needed buttons for the shirt. Dahlia’s second dress was not ready so we went to the sewing shop, bought buttons and took them out to Timothy’s house. The pants were ready; Jack tried them on but they were far too tight around the waist. Timothy is going to take off the waist band and let them out. The seamstress had turned the fabric on Dahlia’s second dress wrong side out; she is going to take it apart and put it back together with the right side out. Please! We are supposed to pick up the dress and pants tomorrow before we leave Yendi. To make matters worse when Jack was taking off his new shirt he ripped it. I am going to work on it and see if I can repair it.

Our late supper matched perfectly with our late lunch!

Please keep the work in your prayers as the evangelists and church leaders are coming in for class and returning home. Also keep us in your prayers as we make the 7 hour trip to Kumasi tomorrow.

In His Service,
Steve, Kandie, Dahlia,Jack, & Barry

P.S.  Please say a special prayer for our niece Tera; she is having some serious health problems and we know that she would appreciate the prayers.
