I did a couple loads of wash this morning. I had already done ours for the week but when we were sorting through stuff I found a bunch of fabric scraps that I did not get washed the last time we were in Ghana because it was the dry season and we were in water conservation mode. I had enough to fill the washing machine twice. They seriously needed washing because there is no telling where the scraps have been!
I did not like the new arrangement on my sewing station; after the ladies left work today I had Steve cut one of the bookcases down and make 2 smaller ones. I like it much better; it is much more functional; I don’t feel so boxed in.
This morning Steve scanned some of his old lessons into a document on the computer; the rest he filed. It is amazing how paper work just piles up.
Zorash was back at work this morning; she brought the raincoats. She was in Tamale yesterday; I forgot to ask her what she was doing over there. We will put them away until the rains come again. We have not had any rain in almost 2 weeks. Timothy Niligrini said that we will probably get a couple more rains next month. We are anxious to see Nana Bekum on Thursday to see if the water is receding in his area. We have to visit the 6 churches that he works with during the dry season.
Steve walked over the property pulling up Nim trees. We have cut down all the Nim trees on the upper part of the mission compound because the trees are so invasive; their roots seem to go to the center of the earth! I think the birds carry them in.
Ghana Covid numbers have started going up again but still very few people are wearing masks and social distancing is a joke! We are still wearing our masks everywhere we go. We sure don’t want to get Covid in a third world country. We heard that the numbers are going up again in parts of the U.S. Please be careful and stay safe.
Take care and have a wonderful day!
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
