It has been a whirlwind day of events. At 8am I was on top of the van placing suitcases and baggage in the rack so it would be ready to go to Kumasi. Kandie had French toast prepared for breakfast so we devoured it before she and Jack took Barry and I to Kulkpeni for the monthly class at 9:15.
The men were a little slow coming to class due to the different modes of transportation they used. The whole morning was given to Barry to teach the class. His lesson topic was an overview of the book of Hebrews. It was a very good class because Barry likes to get class participation from the audience. The content of his lesson gave everyone something to consider in their study of Hebrews. There were a total of 30 men present for the class. For a gift we gave each man a pad and pen along with a calendar that we brought from the States. The class was very attentive to Barry’s remarks. They were encouraged to go home and do more studying of Hebrews to teach their home congregations.
Shortly after 12:00 the blue van arrived at the church building with Red, Kandie, Dahlia and Jack to pick us up to go to Kumasi where we were scheduled to spend the night. We had a safe drive although we did see several wrecks that were so bad that I fear there had to be loss of life. The traffic was very heavy in Kumasi so it took us almost an hour to get to the hotel after we arrived into the city. We had a late supper and it is now time to call it a day.
Please keep us in your prayers. We continue to ask you to keep our niece Tera and her family in your prayers!!
In His service,
Stephen, Kandie, Jack, Dahlia, and Barry
