We got up at 5:30 this morning so we could beat the heat and work on securing the razor wire.  Now that we have finished the job I can complain.  The fence on the back of the mission property is 3039 feet long.  How do I know this?  I ran across the paper work we made when we decided to put a cement block wall around the property.  That was the smartest thing we have ever done.  All the plots around the mission property have been bought up and houses are going up everywhere.  When my dad and mom bought this property it was in the middle of the bush and people wanted to know why he bought property that was 2 miles from the center of town.  The town has grown toward us.  Without the wall people would have squatted on the land and it would have been very difficult and expensive to get them to move.  This morning we added some additional razor wire to the tops of the gates.  Someone has been climbing over the gates to get into the property.  There are a couple of large mango trees at the far end of the property and we think they may have been coming in to get the ripe mangoes.  Steve is seriously contemplating cutting the trees down because if someone falls out of the tree we will be liable.   I love trees and hate to cut down anything.

Divine got his motor king up and running this afternoon.  He just left with a load of stuff for the kitchen for the school feed program.  I was supposed to take a picture of the overloaded motor king but I forgot.  I was in the middle of cooking supper when he came and while I was making copies for him I burned the rice!  The kitchen smells particularly nice!  Ha!

We continued to give out baby hats and handmade dresses in the Child Center.  We will have enough for one more day.  The mothers love the gifts.

The Muslims in our area are counting down the days to the end of the fasting.  They only have 7 more days to go.  Everyone is making preparations for the feasting that will come after the fasting is over.  We feast everyday and never fast!

Timothy and Rita have still not named their new baby girl.  The baby is several weeks old.  I would find it very hard if my new baby did not have a name.

Thank you for the love, prayers and support.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
