Happy Thanksgiving!  We had hamburgers and baked beans for our Thanksgiving supper. What did you have?

The first day of the seminar is behind us.  It has been a success so far.  The last time I asked for a count the men that are registering said that we had 339.  The number is down from last year but that is still a bunch of people!

Steve taught the first session; it was about Church Finance.  Marcus and I missed most of Steve’s lesson; we had to go back to town to buy curry powder and nutmeg for the cooks.  They also needed plastic sheeting to cover the cook pots so the rice did not dry out.  We also had to pick up a load of church members from Sakpei.

Marcus taught the second session; his topic was “The Importance of Choosing a Good Wife.”  He did a great job!  He had 2 interpreters; one interpreted into Konkomba and one interpreted into Anufo.  We also had one man in the audience that spoke Dagboni but he also understands English.  Marcus had so many questions after his lesson.  Everyone seems to want an excuse to have polygamy or divorce and get a new wife.

On the way to Kulkpeni for the second session I stopped by the bakery and picked up 250 loaves of bread for breakfast tomorrow morning.

There will be a third session after supper this evening that will be led by Timothy Niligrini and Divine.

After lunch we asked Matthew how the plastic bowls were working out; he said that they were great and that they made it easier to get the people fed in a shorter amount of time.  No mention was made about the washing of the bowls.

Please say a special prayer for our good friends Jimmy Stroud and Joe Laxson; they are in the hospital.  Also keep the seminar in your prayers.

Thanks for all you do for us.

In His Service

Steve, Kandie and Marcus
