On Friday, during the monthly class that is held at Kulkpeni, we were told the father of the child that we were going to name after services today was sick. We have been planning  this trip for a month.  It was postponed 3 weeks ago because an older child was sick and then the mother got sick .  There has been so much sickness in the area we decided to cancel the trip .  It is hard to say if the people have the coronavirus because of the lack of testing.  Timothy Niligrini is still very fatigued but is slowly improving.  We are concerned about visiting villages now for  long visits due to the increase in sickness. It is difficult to protect ourselves when most people are not wearing masks or social distancing .  Since we weren’t going to Nakpa for the naming ceremony we sent some mobile money to the father and mother so they can purchase items for the baby.

The roofers came today and finished putting up the roofing sheets on the building on the back of the property. It looks good.  I called the mason this afternoon to let him know it was done so his crew can come back and put in the metal windows and doors before they start plastering the walls with cement.

This morning we dropped off the green pickup at the mechanics to have the brakes looked at. Gomda, the mechanic told me one of the front wheel discs needs to be replaced. As far as I know this is the first time a disc has needed to be replaced; not bad after 20+ years on these roads!

Abdulai Fuseni, the paraplegic, called Mr.Iddrisu to say he has some yams for us.  When the roofers finished Iddrisu went with us to pick up the yams.  Abdulai had some nice big yams for us that his brother had sent.  After getting back to the house we gifted Iddrisu with the yams. He was a happy camper!!

I will close for today. Hope you are having a good Lord’s Day and staying virus free.  Thank you for your prayers and support. May God bless!

In his service,

Stephen and Kandie Taylor
