We almost have the living room put back together. Mr. Iddrisu has been painting it for over a week. He is so slow but at least he does not slop paint all over the floors like Donkey does. When Donkey paints he has paint all over himself and the floor around him. We only let him paint inside the house one time and we learned our lesson. Now he paints stuff outside with the ground as his canvas! Ha! Donkey thinks he is a good painter; he even paints for other people. I wonder what they think of his work.
Meri did not come to work today; her mother is in the hospital and she needed to cook for her. The hospitals do not have much food available for the patients. Meri thought that she was going to be able to take her breakfast to her and another family member would take over but the lady never showed up. We have no idea what is wrong with her mother but she is no spring chicken; most likely it is Malaria.
Zorash has a family member that has an acute appendix. The doctors have been filling her full of antibiotics and watching it to see if they are going to have to do surgery. They gave her a prescription for pain medicine that Zorash is having a hard time finding. She wanted to know if we could give her some Naproxen Sodium for the pain. Naproxen is not for that type of pain. Who knows what else she is taking; you can’t just be sending medicine to the hospital for someone to take that is under a doctor’s care. How crazy is that?
We got the peanuts roasted this morning. They taste very nice. Amama was all up in arms because the peanuts were wet. They wet the peanuts so the hulls will come off easier when they pass through the peanut sheller. I told her not to worry because the peanuts will dry inside the roaster. I explained that they will dry out as they are cooking. It might take a little longer to roast them but they will cook all the same. Imagine, the peanuts roasted just fine!
Thank you for the love, prayers and support.

The Monkeyshines
I am scared! There is a man outside climbing the pole in the front yard! He brought some kind of climbing belt but when he found out that Dad had a ladder he decided to use the ladder. What in the world is going on? Does he think that he is a monkey? Well, let me tell you he is not very good at the climbing thing! I could teach him a thing or two about climbing! He also has to learn to ricochet from one thing to another so that he can go higher and higher! I think I might like to give humans lessons on how to climb and not kill yourself. You know the problem with people is that they are too fat to climb anything but a ladder! Dad says that I have rubber bands in my legs; I can jump from the ground and catch a tree limb that is 5 feet above my head! Now that is real talent!
The guy that is climbing the pole is one of the men from the electric company. Our electricity was doing the same thing today that it did 2 days ago! At least this time they sent someone out here to help us with the problem instead of telling us to call our own electrician! Dad was very insistent that they needed to do something! I don’t know what they did but the lights are back on. There are 2 security lights near my jail cell so I do not have to sleep in the dark! I don’t like the dark very much! I especially do not like it when the lights are off and the yard is dark! Creepy things happen in the dark!
