We were rushing around like chickens with our heads cut off this morning trying to tie up all the loose ends.  We got a call from the churches in the Wa area in the western part of Ghana that some of the churches were ready to register; when we visited that area earlier this year for the seminar we promised to help them when they were ready.  They want Divine to come to Wa and help them fill out their forms.  This morning we had to make envelopes with the estimate cost of the registration, transport and food money that Divine will need.

This morning two orphans were brought from Tamale to the Child Center by the nutritional officer at the Central hospital in Tamale.  One of the babies was only a few weeks old and in good shape.  The other baby was a year old and had a very low weight for his age.  We gave the younger baby a month’s supply of formula and the older child was loaded up with weaning mix, peanut protein paste, oil and vitamins.  Hopefully the baby with the low weight will start gaining.  The nutritional officer is going to monitor the babies so they do not have to come to Yendi so often.  The caregivers and the nutritional officer were so grateful for the help.  Our thanks go out to all of our supporters for not only the help with the children but also for the help with the churches.

We are at the hotel in Tamale.  We will leave for the airport at 5:45 in the morning.  The airport is not very far away from Tamale.  Red drove us over this afternoon; he is spending the night at his sister’s house.  When we sleep in Tamale Red opts not to sleep at the hotel; we give him the money that his hotel room and food would have cost and he stays with his sister.  He will catch a taxi to the hotel in the morning and drive us to the airport.  It takes an hour to fly to Accra.

Thank you for the prayers that you offered up on our behalf and please continue to pray for us as we travel.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
