Steve finished the yearly report for the Social Welfare department this afternoon.  I finished editing it and he will reread it before he prints it.  Some of the numbers are very interesting.  This year 88 new sets of twins came to the Child Center.  The Child Center opened in 2002 and since it opened 936 sets of twins have come to the Center.  Can you imagine?  This year we saw 2 sets of triplets which makes a total of 30 sets of triplets since 2002.  The total number of different babies and children that have passed through the doors of the Child Center since 2002 has now climbed to 25,988!   This year the Center gave away 520 cans of formula.  We started feeding 26 orphans this year.   All we can do is say thank you so much for all your help and support!   Without our faithful supporters none of this would be possible!

Amama, the lady that helps in the house helped me clean our bedroom this morning.  All I really wanted her to do was sweep and mop the floor but Amama is a worker!  She started moving things off the shelves and wiping everything down.  I looked up and she was wiping down the lap top with a wet rag!  Yikes!  She has no idea that computers are not particularly fond of water!  We have curtains on the shelves that hold the food; I finally put all the curtains down to keep her from starting on the pantry.  The room looks good now so I am not complaining!

This afternoon we went to town to send Sister Comfort some money.  We try to send her a little something every time we come to Ghana.  She lost her husband Samuel Obeng a couple years ago and she struggles financially and physically; she is now blind.

Steve got a text message on his phone that said the land papers we have been working on for days, weeks and months were ready to be picked up.  We thought we were going to have to make another trip to Tamale.  Luckily Steve called before we went over there and the guy at the land commission told him that they were just calling to let us know that we had completed phase #1 of the process and there were 2 more phases to complete but since we had already paid for everything we did not have to come to Tamale.  The call was just a courtesy call to let us know how things were going.  Please just sign the papers and give them back to us!

Divine called and said that the veranda poles Red made for the kitchen at Kpamang were only welded on one side so he was going to have to bring them back to Yendi.  We thought we would see him this afternoon but we did not.  We are afraid his motor king broke down again.

Take care and thanks again for all you do for us and for the work.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
