We are beyond sad! My brother Buz passed away this morning at 6:30. He has had a terrible struggle! He had wonderful caregivers with lots of loving support. Who could ask for more? We request continued prayers for his wife, children and grandchildren. They are holding up very well considering everything they have been through!
We were successful in getting a plane ticket from Tamale to Accra this morning; I guess it was worth getting up at 3:15 this morning! I guess but I am not really sure! As soon as we got to Accra we hired a van and dropped our luggage at the hotel; then we went to the Delta office to purchase our tickets to the states. We not only got the tickets but we also got good seats; we were not even sure we would be able to sit together by buying the tickets this close to time to leave.
Divine sent a message and said that he had found some pigs for the seminar. Stephen one of the church leaders had 2 large pigs and another man in his village had 3 smaller pigs. Steve bought them all. We were able to send the money to Divine through the phone company. We paid a little extra so the men would have money to buy food for the pigs and keep them for us until the seminar. They will also slaughter the pigs for us when the time comes.
We have been on the phone most of the afternoon. We had lots of people to call.
I plan to do some shopping tomorrow. My bags are not completely full; it would be a shame to come back with partially filled suitcases! I must fill every nick and cranny both going and coming!
Faith, one of Charity and Marcus’ children has had the stomach virus. They are living in our house while they build a new one; I told them that if they are sick when we come home we are sick we are going to sleep in a hotel! Ha!
Take care and have a great day!
