Kandie and I are staying around the compound as a precautionary measure since there are a number of people that are sick. It seems very strange not to be going out visiting the congregations. Kandie mentioned in the Notes yesterday about two church leaders that came from the Saboba area east of Yendi. It has been a long time since we have been able to visit with them. I told them to be sure and tell the brethren we miss seeing them and hope to visit when we return next year.
The first item of business this morning was to shore up the razor wire that had been loosened by people trying to come over the wall on the back part of the property. You would think razor wire would be enough to deter trespassers here but you’d be wrong.
Around 8 am the mason started to show up for work. They had a fairly easy work day since all that was left to do was to plaster the apron around the building. When Mr. Iddrisu arrived we had him start painting the facial boards on the new building with green oil paint to protect it from termites and other critters. We will have him paint the new building to match the compound colors. Dawda the mason finished up the building around 1pm. So this building project is finished. It looks nice.
Before lunch we had our own worship service. Then after lunch I started helping Kandie with the financial books so we can have them ready to drop off at the auditor as we head down to Accra for our trip home in a couple of weeks. There is always something to do around here. It is 8:30 pm and we are still working on the books.
Please keep us in your prayers as we keep you in our prayers. Let’s use the power of prayer to remember family, friends, and our fellow man during these difficult times.
Hope you had a good Lord’s Day. May God bless!
In His service,
Stephen and Kandie Taylor
