Since Timothy Niligrini’s motorcycle is still not repaired we were at his house at 8:45 this morning to pick him up. We visited Nanjuni today.  It is located east of Yendi on the road to Gnani.

Simon is one of the church leaders at this congregation and his house is located on the roadside where we turn off to go to the church building. We picked up his family and other church members as we drove a mile into the bush to our destination.

This congregation meets in a grass woven hut; they have started to build a church building closer to the road near Simon’s house. The total number of people including children this morning was one hundred twenty-two. Timothy taught the Bible class and then helped interpret for me when I gave the sermon.

After services we were informed an older man wished to be baptized.  He said he was fed up with the Fetish and their sacrificing and the faith healers.  He found their claims of healing to be false. This man has had health problems for some time so he is going to dedicate his life to God by becoming a Christian.   The man had been worrying how he would be able to walk the distance needed to be baptized. Our visit today helped to remedy his problem. We were very happy to find out that seven young people also wanted to be baptized. Thank the Lord! We had to travel several miles to get to water for the baptism.

After taking the people back to the village we were presented with guinea eggs and tubers of yams.  We thanked the brothers for the gifts.  We passed those gifts on to Timothy when we dropped him off at his house.

After we ate our late lunch and rested we drove uptown to buy some soy beans to be roasted and mixed with the corn to make weaning mix for the Child Center this week.  A 50kg bag of sugar was also on our list to buy.  Some will go into the weaning mix and the rest will to used later next month at the seminar.

At Kulkpeni tonight we had bible study outside. They said the electricity had been off all day so I taught by flashlight like we used to.  It is great to look up and see the Milky Way so bright and shiny.

That’s it for today. Hope you had a good Lord’s Day. May God bless!

In His service,

Stephen and Kandie Taylor
