We are in Tamale.  We left Yendi after we closed the Child Center.  We had to go see the lawyer; pick up the audit; and pay the phone bill.  Speaking of the phone bill; we have had a post paid phone at the mission house for years but the problem is several years ago they stopped sending bills through the mail and they never could get us signed up to receive the bills through the email.  We have not gotten a bill since August of 2016; can you imagine?  So we try to keep a positive balance with their account.  A couple weeks ago the phone came up with a message that said “Invalid Sim”.  I called the hot line and they said there was nothing they could do over the phone; they could not even tell me if the account had a balance.  We brought the phone to the Vodafone office.  I think they should call it the VOODOO office.  Anyway they said that the best they could do was try to save the number and turn the phone into a pre-paid account instead of a post-paid account.  It makes no difference to us because the way their billing system is we were already treating it like a pre-paid account.  We are to go back tomorrow see if they could save the number.  We want to keep the number because it is on the Child Center’s letter head.

Tomorrow we are going to take the van to be serviced.  So after we drop the van off we will be without a vehicle.  We will have to hire a taxi to do the rest of our business.  It takes them at least 2 hours to change the oil and the filters.

We plan to leave for Yendi tomorrow around noon.

Please keep us in your prayers while we travel.

In His Service,

Stephen and Kandie
