Steve has gone for a walk.  We did not get to walk this morning because it was raining.  He is taking advantage of the time I am cooking supper and writing the notes to get in his daily walk.  Well, he does not walk on Sunday so I guess it would be correct to say his nearly daily walk.  Ha!

Mr. Oldman our neighbor brought over a couple guys that know how to plumb the poly tank.  There was a very slow leak in the big poly tank which we wanted to get fixed before the rain stops.  To fix it correctly someone has to climb down in the tank and make sure the washer is in the correct position and to hold the connector to keep it from twirling while it is tightened.  Steve had already disconnected the tank from the old plumbing so all the men had to do was get in the tank.  The tank is huge; it is over 8 feet tall; fortunately we had a ladder that would go down in the mouth of the tank.  They attached cardboard to the legs so the ladder did not puncture the bottom of the tank.  It did not take them very long to get it put back together.  After we started filling the tank there were a couple tiny leaks which they were able to fix by tightening the connections.  So far so good; the tank is full and Steve says there are no leaks!

Meri did not come to work yesterday and she did not come today; her son Aliu has sickle cell disease and he was having a crisis.  Steve called to check on him and Meri said that he was some better this afternoon but he was still hurting.  It is a terrible disease and pain management and fluids is about all they do for it.

Zorash did not come to work today either; we were with her yesterday afternoon and she did not mention that she could not come to work today.  Something must have come up.  Hopefully she is not sick.

We went to town to this afternoon to pay for the formula we ordered last week.  Steve order 6 cases; that is 144 cans; it should last us well into November.  It is nice to be able to order it and not have to hunt around town for it and buy 1 can here and 2 cans there.  We have several babies that will be coming off the formula at the end of the month; it is like a revolving door; some come off and new ones are added.

Hope that you have a great day!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
