When Steve called Timothy, the evangelist, yesterday he said he was at the hospital with his baby girl Sarah.  She had a fever and diarrhea.  He said they were waiting to be seen by the doctor.  Later in the evening he called and said that they did not admit her but sent her home with medicine.  We asked what the doctor said was wrong with her but he did not know.  The doctors here are very closed mouth about what they think is wrong with the patient.  Timothy said that one of the medicines he had to buy was malaria medicine so more than likely she had malaria.  If it is malaria usually the day after they start taking the medicine the patient feels better and the symptoms resolve themselves.

We hung all the clothes outside again today.   Steve put up more clothes line and we pulled out benches and chairs to hang the clothes on.  There was more sunshine and a slight breeze but some of the clothes still did not dry.  The humidity this morning was 99%.  It is difficult to get anything to dry with 99% humidity.   The high temperature today was 101 degrees.  Around 3:00 this afternoon it started thundering and we had to rush around and get all the clothes off the lines before they got wet again.  Wouldn’t that have been awful?

This afternoon we went to town to get some passport pictures made.  It is time to renew our resident visas and our non-citizen cards.  We thought we were very clever picking up the forms early but when we started filling them out today we realized we had been given the wrong forms which for our visa renewals means we will have to sit in that hot office and fill out forms tomorrow.  Steve had passport photos but I did not.  It was beginning to rain when we got to the passport office.  I was afraid the electricity was going to go off before he could make my photos.  All he has is a camera with a SD card and a small home type printing dock.  He has a wooden bench in front of a red piece of fabric.  He does not use his zoom to get a close-up.  He just stood with the camera right up in my face.  Well you know how that distorts your face.  I laughed and laughed at the very bad picture he took.  My nose is huge and then he did something strange with the settings on the printer because I have a long narrow face and actually look rather thin in the photo.  Everyone that knows me knows I am plump with a round face but I guess this is the new me!

Did I tell you that Meri, one of the ladies that help in the Child Center is pregnant?  She is not sure when she is due but she is huge.  I asked her if they did a scan yet to see if she is carrying twins.  She has already had a set of twins.  They have not done her scan yet.

Have a great day and keep the work in your prayers.

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
