Steve has gone to get some diesel for the generator. The electricity went off last night and we were so proud to be able to go out and start the generator. Such a pleasure not to have to sleep in a hot room! Oh! The things we take for granted! We want to be sure and have enough diesel on hand because there are no all night filling stations in Yendi.
This morning Zorash and I went back to the lady that sells the containers for the diaper rash ointment. We were disappointed that she still did not have any containers for us. She promised they would be here either tomorrow or tomorrow next (day after tomorrow). We will see.
Gomda got the clutch fixed on the old van. He did not find anything wrong with the clutch but the clutch had seized up because of gunk in a hose or something or the other. It does not make sense to me but he fixed it and that is all that matters. We drove it around Yendi this afternoon and did not have any problem with it. He will start work in the green truck’s starter tomorrow.
One of the babies that had the hair lip repair surgery while we were in the states came back to visit us today. The mother is so proud of the baby; she was all smiles. It is amazing! The doctors did a wonderful job. You can hardly tell that the baby had a hair lip. We took pictures and a video. We pass her thanks on to you.
Steve cut down a dead tree this morning that was hanging over the cement wall. Nazo and Mr. Iddrisu will share the wood. Their wives will use it to cook with. Steve also trimmed up the bougainvillea that is climbing on the wall. He needed to trim it so Nazo could get to the wall to paint it.
Take care and keep the work in your prayers.
In His Service,
Steve and Kandie
