We are in Accra.  We flew down this afternoon.  The flight was delayed by 45 minutes because it was raining in Accra this morning and the plane could not take off on schedule.  The pilot makes round trips from Accra to Tamale all day long.   I think there are 4 flights a day.  Evidently when one is delayed it backs all of them up.

We got up earlier than normal this morning because we had to be at Kpamang at 8:30 for morning worship.  Divine is the church leader at Kpamang so he is the one that organizes the worship service.  The people had not yet gathered to meet when we got out to the village so we went to greet the chief.  The chief was not around but one of his brothers was, so we left the monetary gift for the chief with him.

After worship service we had a naming ceremony for a set of twin boys.  The mother of the babies is the lady whose husband was murdered a few years ago.  She has recently remarried and now has a set of twins.  Perry and Gina were given the great honor of naming the babies.  The names chosen were Jacob and Joseph.  It is amazing that someone would let you name their children!

The church at Kpamang is planning on building a new church building.  Their present building doubles as the school.  The classrooms are small and they have outgrown them.  They want a cement block house; Steve encouraged them to use gravel to make the blocks because it will save them money.  Divine said that he would talk to the church and see what they wanted to do.  We promised to help when they were actually ready to begin the project.

Perry and Gina took us out to eat tonight!  It was wonderful; we went to the Chinese Palace Restaurant; it was delicious!  We ate far too much but who is counting?  We were hungry and tired; not sure if we were hungrier or tired-er so we took care of both problems; we ate and now we are headed to bed!

Please continue to pray for us as we travel about the next couple of days and pray for the Martins as they start their plane ride home tomorrow evening.

In HIS Service,

Steve, Kandie, Perry and Gina
