Before we started our shopping spree this morning, we walked down to a little café that is close to the apartment/hotel where we are staying and had breakfast.  We had to fuel up so we would have energy to shop!

We hired a taxi to carry us from place to place and act as our private car.  This is very convenient because it gives us a place to put our purchases so we do not have to lug them around from vendor to vendor.  We also do not have to stand on the side of the road with all our stuff to try to catch a taxi back to the hotel.  We found some very nice things and as always, I found some very strange things!  Ha!  It was lunch time by the time we finished shopping so we dumped our goods in our rooms and headed to a small place that serves chicken and pizza.  They make a very strange pizza that has toppings of canned tuna, corn and mayonnaise!   Can you imagine?  We have never been hungry enough to try that combination but obviously some people are eating it!

Perry and Gina spent the afternoon packing their treasures and getting ready to fly; Steve and I spent the afternoon working on the audit for the Child Center.  It has to be turned in this week so it is the most important thing we have to get done before we leave to come home (to Alabama) next week.  After we took the Martins to the airport we came back to our room and worked on them until bedtime.  We have almost gotten everything finished.  The audit does not have to be turned in until April but by that time the auditor is swamped and we want to make sure that ours is filed in a timely manner!  So, we turn it in early.

The Martins sent us a message a few minutes ago to let us know that they were on the plane and it was about to take off!  Please pray that they have a safe trip home!  It was so wonderful to have the extra pairs of hands especially during the seminar!

We will fly back to Tamale in the morning.  We have a few things to do in Tamale before we head to Yendi.

Have a great day!

In HIS Service,

Steve, Kandie, Perry and Gina
