We went to town this afternoon and Steve bought a couple extra jacks; one to put in the green truck and one to put in the new van. Almost every time we have a flat, he says that he wished he had an extra jack. This is because with one jack, when it extends as far as it can, we still can’t get the spare on. We end up having to dig a hole or find a big stone for the vehicle to rest on so that we can free the jack and reposition it. He was very happy with the scissor jacks he bought. It is money well spent.
It tried to rain last night; we did not get any but someone did because it was cooler this morning and we were able to do some outside work. Donkey came to work today but his back is still hurting him. We asked him if he was wearing his back brace; he said that he could not find it so Steve gave him another one. Donkey is a little man; fortunately, this one was adjustable. Steve had to wrap the elastic band around his waist twice. I think he thought that Steve was going to cut him in half! Steve explained that if it was not tight it was not doing its job. Maybe the back brace will help. He does not have to come to work tomorrow or the next day because they are his days off; surely the rest will help.
Divine stopped by this afternoon. He had come to town to have his motor king’s engine overhauled. He is in the middle of a building project; he is trying to get a clinic built in his village and he needs to haul lots of building materials so he needs the motor king to run well. While he was here, we discussed the church’s paperwork. He said that everything seems to be on track but when you are working with government offices you can never be sure of anything.
We heard that the Ghana government is going to require everyone in Ghana to re-register their SIM cards (the SIM cards are the chip that is inside the cell phone that allows you to make a phone call; it stores data and phone numbers). It has not been many years since they made everyone register their SIM card using their new Ghana Card. It is not supposed to cost anything to register and you are supposed to be able to do it through your cell phone. This just sounds like it is going to be very confusing for everyone; especially those who do not have smartphones or are illiterate! I am cell phone illiterate; who is going to help me? Ha!
Enjoy your day!

The parents finally worked on my jailhouse today. They took off the front of that creepy room that is attached inside my jail cell. It took them a long time to figure out how to remove it. They could not just remove the whole room because it is part of the outside structure and is welded into place and the screening is welded on top of it. They should have had Red remove it yesterday when he was here because they really had no idea what they were doing. They kept going in the house and dragging out more tools! After lots of banging and clanging they got the face of it taken off.
Then Dad got out the grinding wheel and smoothed off all the rough places so that I did not cut myself on any sharp pieces of metal. I really appreciate that! Next came the spray paint; I was not inside the cell when Dad was painting but I can still smell it. I am sure there is a warning on that paint can that says it is dangerous to breathe in the fumes! I bet there are warnings about keeping away from children; I think that is the category that I fall into. Ask me if I have gone inside that room now that it is wide open! Absolutely not! It is less creepy but it is going to take me a long time before I feel comfortable enough to venture in there! Just between me and you; I may never go in there! There is a door at the back of the room and Mom’s whole head will fit through the door; she tried to coax me into the room by sticking her head inside the room! It did not help! It just made her look silly!
I told you Mom is not normal!
