Steve has been trying to figure out a way to get Niliyuundo’s cement money to them but Timothy has not been able to get in touch with any of the church members. They are way out in the bush and their reception is awful and non-existent in places. Steve decided to send the money to Timothy through his phone. At least one of the brothers will come to the next monthly class so he can give them the money then or if he gets hold of someone from one of the neighboring villages, he can give them a message and they can come to Timothy’s house and pick up the money that way. Timothy thought that it was a good plan. There is no way we will be able to get them the money once we leave Ghana so when Plan A fails go to Plan B.
Our friends, the Martins, that came to Ghana to help with the seminar called and asked if we were going to be doing any shopping while we were in Accra; well, isn’t that a silly question? Shopping is my one weakness! Ha! They needed a few more carvings and wanted to know if we would bring them home for them. Now, just look at how well that worked out! I actually have a reason to shop! I would love to be one of those people that shops for other people; can you imagine how much money I could save them? And there would be none of this spoiled produce that they try to push off on customers! Charity, our daughter, got a bag of lettuce in her last order that was so far gone that it was wet inside; what are they selling, lettuce soup now?
We tried a new restaurant for lunch; it was delicious and we would like to go to it again but I am not sure if we can find it again. It is an Indian restaurant that is called Heritage. The food was exceptional, the place was clean and the air conditioning was amazing! A very nice combination. Steve got us to the restaurant in the taxi with the use of Google Maps.
We have been talking with our children this afternoon; we are trying to get our menu together for supper after the Christmas parade on Thursday. Of course, several of our friends will be coming too. We just have to organize things from afar!
Take care and have a nice week!
In HIS Service,
Steve and Kandie
P.S. We found out that our friend Jeff is going to have a stent put in his heart tomorrow. Please pray for him; I know he would appreciate the prayers. Please pray that they will be able to successfully put in the stent and not have to do by-pass surgery.
