Hello everyone,

This is Parker speaking today. Hope you all are having a great day, but we started today off with waking up around 8:30. Then I got something little to eat because I needed to take my malaria medicine. Then I went back to my room and chilled a little bit.

Goosie (my grandmother) had something for us to do, so I walked in the kitchen. There were three huge trash cans that you would see at a school. They were full of rain water that was used to do the laundry. We had to use buckets to catch the water from the trash cans and walk outside and put the water on all the plants that we have here. There was so much water that we had to re-water the plants. Anyway, we got that all done and then I had to go to the market with Goosie and Gander (my grandfather).

I’ve been to the market before so there wasn’t anything new to see, but there was something I had smelt, and I don’t even know how to describe it but it was bad; like it was a mixture of fish and I don’t know what else. I’m telling you it was so bad it would make you more awake; It was like smelling salts. But anyway, I was trying to survive through that, goosey got some onions, tomatoes, and other stuff like that and then we got back home.

Goosey made lunch. I will say lunch was a little different than what I am used to but that’s ok. We finished lunch and then I was able to hop back in the truck and learn how to use a stick shift. Now I’ve already been in the pickup once but I’m just trying to get better at it and I actually did really well. Taylor was learning too but that was his first time in like six years to be driving so it was kind of expected for him to do bad. But in all honesty, he did way better than I did when I first tried it so it’s all good. We drove around for a little bit, then came back to the house.

Then off we go to the village of Nakpaache for preaching. Taylor did the lesson today and it was very good. We met all the people and it was just a good time, so then we came back home. While we were coming back home, me and Taylor rode standing in the back of the truck. That was really fun and I can’t count how many times we were driving and the kids were yelling out Saminga, Saminga. It was just funny but anyway we made it back home and Goosie cooked supper. We had hamburgers today. It was actually really good but when it comes to an everyday standard on what we do here, today was definitely one of the chillest (lazy) days we had. That’s what we did for today. Goodbye!
