Hello,
This is Parker talking to y’all today, and I hope you are doing great! Today I started off by waking up at 8:30. There was a bacon and cream cheese sandwich that had been made by my mom, and let’s just say it was awesome! But anyway, I finished up eating that, walked around a little bit, and said hi to Skeeter. Then me and my brother Taylor went outside to throw the baseball a little bit because, even though I am over here, I still have to be able to get that in to come back home and be up to date with everyone else on my baseball team.
We finished throwing the ball and headed off to the child center, and Taylor stayed there the whole time. I was there a little bit, but I had to go to my room to find my homework that I have to do since school started back. But anyway, I did a little bit of that. I went and fed Skeeter his bottle. This time went a lot better than last time. Yeah, I don’t know if anyone remembers me saying anything about it, but last time, he bit me as hard as he could in the arm because I moved his bottle, and he thought I was taking it away. So, I guess you could say there was a little bit of PTSD going on! But anyway, I gave him his bottle, and he drank the whole thing and, surprisingly, did not bite me.
But I was able to do that, and then around that time, it was lunch. For lunch, we had burritos, and let’s just say they were really good! And so, we finished up eating lunch, and we didn’t have anything planned for tonight because we really made sure that we were getting everything packed up a little bit and everything cleaned because Thursday, we are leaving. And so, today was just a super chill day.
I was in my room for a while, so I decided to try to go see if I could find Skeeter. Well, he was in my grandparents’ room, so I walked in there, and there’s Skeeter. Whenever he’s in my grandparents’ room, he is super wild for some reason, and I don’t know why. But anyway, I sat on their bed, and I get one of Skeeter’s animals, and he was just biting it and having a great time. Well, after a while of doing that, he looked like he was tired and wanted to take a nap. So, I’m just there, and we’re trying to see if he’ll take a nap, and I’m right there next to him.
Well, if none of y’all knew this, he acts a little different when Goosie (my grandmother) is around or next to him, so Goosey tried to throw some more of his stuffed animals up there, and she kind of pushed him down a little bit to lay down and take a nap. Well, I was right next to him, and he did not like that at all! He looked at me and attacked me, drawing blood. Not a lot or anything, just from his scratches and biting, but he went off the rails! So, that kind of ended it. It was fun while it lasted.
I mean, I really thought me and him were getting along, but that was the mistake. I say that, but he likes me. It just depends on what situation he is in. Like, if there’s someone getting on to him and he doesn’t like that, it doesn’t matter who it is; he might just come up and bite you. And it’s kind of weird because his teeth aren’t sharp at all. He just has such a strong jaw!
But anyway, that happened, and then I went back into my room and did some more homework. And oh, I forgot to say we did laundry today! So, we don’t have a traditional washing machine, and we don’t even have a dryer. And so, what we have to do is, we have to get water for the washing machine, and then all the dirty water goes into this big trash can, like you see at schools. And we have to take these buckets, put the water in the trash cans, and go pour it on the plants. So, we did that, and we also had to put all of our clothes on a clothesline so they will dry outside.
We had supper. We had macaroni and cheese, and it was very good! But after supper, we are just going to chill (rest) for the rest of the night, and this is all the stuff that happened today.
Goodbye!
In His service,
Parker, Taylor, Charity, Kandie, Stephen, and Skeeter
