We got the corn and soybeans washed this morning.  We will roast it over and open fire tomorrow.  It will take us all morning to finish the job.  I asked Zorash about getting another big pot to cook in so that it would not take us as long but she said that she preferred to do it with just 2 pots so that they could take turns stirring and not get so tired.  Last time we cooked we had a hard time keeping the fires hot enough.  This time we bought some smaller sticks.  I told Zorash that we had gotten smaller sticks but she said that the size of the firewood was not the problem it was because it was still raining and everything was damp.  Hopefully it will not take so long to cook tomorrow since we have not had rain in over a month.

Divine, the evangelist stopped by for a visit today.  He had been to Tamale and picked up the new forms for the churches.  He was having a problem with the chain on his motorcycle.  This is the first time he has ever had a vehicle other than a bicycle.  He is finding out that they are wonderful as long as they are running well but very expensive when they break down.  He sent Steve a text a few minutes ago and he had arrived home safely only to find out that one of his big pigs died last night.  I know he was sick about it.  We sure are proud that we slaughtered the ones for the seminar last month.  Tichak, the watchman said that the pigs at Kulkpeni are also dying.

We went shopping again this evening and bought more supplies for the Child Center.  The pharmacist delivered the vitamins and things we bought yesterday.  He was short 4 cases of liquid vitamins but he will send them when they come in.

When we were at the hardware store yesterday buying paint Steve’s cell phone got knocked off his belt.  He did not know that it was missing until Aminu, the shop owner, called and told him that some children had found his phone.  He said that when he saw it he knew that it was Steve’s.  Steve was very happy to have it back.  He bought some phone units to give Aminu next time we pass his shop.

I spent a good portion of the day working on the Child Center books.  I ended up with too much money which is a better problem to have than having too little money but a problem none the less.  I will start working on the other set of books tomorrow.  Lucky me!  It wouldn’t be so difficult if I could run a calculator.  When I get stuck I call Steve for back-up.

Take care and have a great day!

In His Service,

Steve and Kandie
