We got the two poly tanks plumbed together today and we also got the water line run to the new poly tank.  We could not check for leaks until we had finished plumbing everything.  There were no leaks in the new water lines feeding the poly tank but there was a leak in the plumbing leading from one tank to the other.  We would have fixed it today but we ran out of daylight.  We would have looked ridiculous out there with our head lamps fighting the mosquitoes.  I guess we know what we will be doing Monday afternoon.  The poly tank is leaking around the lower opening to the tank.  It came from the factory already fitted with connection.  We made an extra rubber seal when we plumbed the old tank because we were afraid that after years of use the rubber seal might be damaged.  We think that might be the problem with the new tank.   I am so happy that we put on those quick disconnects.  Hopefully we will be able to fix the problem without wasting all the elbows and couplers.  “This is the job that never ends; it goes on and on my friend….”

First thing this morning we went to town to buy pipe.  As we drove through Yendi hardly any of the shops were open.  We figured that it was because of yesterday’s holiday.  We were afraid that Mr. Gato the guy that sells building supplies would not be open either.  We were pleasantly surprised when we saw that his gates were open.

We buy our flour from the men that run a dough making business.  They do not bake bread but they have the biggest mixer I have ever seen; it takes 2 people to turn the bowl and an industrial kneading machine.  They mix up the bread for the women in town who run bakeries.  They are always busy.  I like to buy flour from them because they give me a good deal and the flour is usually fresh and free of worms.  They use razor blades to open the bags of flour and to divide the bread into portions.  Guess what I found in my flour?  Yes, a razor blade.  I reached into the bag to get a handful of flour for the okra I was going to fry.  I felt something and pulled out a razor blade.  Fortunately it did not cut me but isn’t that disgusting and oh so very creepy?

It sprinkled a little bit this morning and then the sun came out and it was very hot and humid.  The poly tanks we were working on were under the trees so we were in the shade most of the day.  The rains seem to have slacked off.  Hopefully they will continue until the late crops have been harvested.

Thank you for all you do for us and for the work.

In His Service,
